Leave a comment » Digging OutFor your own safety and the safety of others...
After last week's brief warm-up, we finally got some snow last night, so it's time to be digging out from the snow again. (Original article written by Vance Shutes). We've still got plenty of winter ahead of us, so today I'd like to pass along a safety reminder.
The men and women who serve to protect us every day would appreciate your attention to a safety matter that may be right in front of your home! After a snowfall (like last night), and the snowplows have done their work, the fire hydrant in front of your home may be buried in snow! If there's ever an emergency on your street, the seconds saved by having that fire hydrant visible and accessible may make the difference in saving your home from fire. Grab your snow shovel and clear the snow from around the fire hydrant on your block. Thank you!
