Leave a comment » More musicWhat kind of music do you like?Give me more music! I've written previously about Gruvr, where you can find out what bands are performing in your area. If you haven't already checked out Gruvr, you should. I've also written previously about how I use Playlist.com, a service of MySpace, to put together lists of my most recent favorite songs. Here's my latest favorites. Since I like music as much as I do, you'd naturally think that I have my own iPod, or even an iPhone for my music. You'd be wrong. Think about it. With today's "smart" phones, including the iPhone, we have nearly full-time internet connectivity. With the ability to assemble lists of your favorite music on Playlist.com, and listen to them on the internet at any time, for free, why would you continue to buy music on iTunes? As internet connectivity continues to grow, we can reasonably expect to have full-time connectivity in our cars. Of course, that connectivity will likely be used for hundreds of uses in, and around, your car. But one of the more likely uses will be to listen to music of our own choice via the internet in our cars. So there you have it, my prediction of more music, in our cars, and in many aspects of our lives. What do you think? If you like what you're reading here, please subscribe to my blog. Thanks! If you're ready to start your search for a Saline home or condo, talk to someone with local knowledge! I'd be happy to meet with you. Leave a comment » Vance's BookshelfWhat have you read lately?Since my last "bookshelf" report, I've read some more great books. What I'd like to do today is to present some of the things I've learned from these books. In most cases, I've taken direct quotes from the books, as there is no way to paraphrase brilliance. My recent books have been the biography of Alexander Hamilton, our first Secretary of the Treasury (and the face of the $20 bill), and the Federalist Papers, a compilation of works by Hamilton, James Madison (our fourth President), and John Jay. http://www.salinemichiganrealestate.com/00469C

Leave a comment » DietHave you been on a diet?Diet. What are the first three letters of that word? DIE. And isn't that what most of us want to do when we're told that we have to "go on a diet?" You can't turn on any late-night TV channel without seeing someone promoting their latest diet. And take a look in your local bookstore, and you'll find that the diet section has its own area - complete with chairs for sitting down to read the latest "fad" diet book. Maybe it's the South Beach diet, or the Atkins diet, or the Pineapple-only diet. There are almost as many diets to choose from as there are people in the world! Today, I'd like to tell you about my experience with a diet. http://www.salinemichiganrealestate.com/004664

Leave a comment » Top Ten ways to benefit from this blogHow to benefit from this blog! You've been following my blog for a while now, and you're wondering "What are the top ten ways to benefit from this blog?" I've been reading your thoughts. You know, it's one of those wireless things that Dell "secretly" hides in their computers. When your fingers are tapping on the keyboard, that secret device is reading your mind. So, borrowing heavily from David Letterman, let me present the top ten ways to benefit from this blog: http://www.salinemichiganrealestate.com/0045C2

3 comments » The best of intentionsThe genesis of ideas....A lament about the best of intentions. I was greatly looking forward to a "tweetup" tomorrow in Ohio. For those who aren't on Twitter, a tweetup is meeting of followers of each other on Twitter. On Wednesday, October 22, there was to be a tweetup of MidWest bloggers in Ohio. The origination of this tweetup was a simple lunch meeting between myself and a fellow blogger/agent from Dayton, Ohio - Teri Lussier. The lunch grew with invitations to fellow real estate bloggers from the MidWest/Great Lakes region. One by one, they fell away. http://www.salinemichiganrealestate.com/00459E
