The Lone Oak subdivision is a large Saline area subdivision, located in northwest Lodi township.    If you are considering the purchase of a Saline home in a country subdivision, you'll want to explore Lone Oak.

A home in the Lone Oak sub is just a short drive from the world-class academic, cultural and sports attractions of Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, and Downtown Detroit is only an hour away.

The subdivision is accessible on both paved and gravel roads.  You can remain on paved roads by accessing the sub via Scio Church road to Strieter road, to Lone Oak.  If you're looking for a quicker drive to Saline, you can use Waters road, a gravel road.  All of the neighborhood roads are paved, and maintained by the Washtenaw County Road Commission.

The lots in Lone Oak are mostly 1-acre in size each.  The homes were built mostly in the 1970's.  The homes are a nice mix of two-story, ranch, and tri-level and quad-level homes.  They range in size from 1500-2200 sq. ft. in size.  There's a neighborhood park and swimming pond, complete with its own beach!  Home values in Lone Oak range from the high $100s to the high $300s, at present (Summer 2008).

Because the Lone Oak sub is in the Township, there are no city services available.  Water is provided by private wells on each lot, while each lot has its own septic system.   The homes are all served by DTE for gas and electric, and cable TV/High-speed internet is provided by Comcast.
