Saline Sales report for June 2009

Here's an update on the Real Estate market for Saline.

Here's the latest Saline Sales report for June 2009. This is an update to my regular market report which I report around the middle of the month. If you are interested in Saline real estate, here's what happened in June 2009.

Looking first at Saline homes:

During June, we continued to see the usual increase in homes listed for sale in the "Spring" market, with the number of listings increasing by another 26 homes in June (a 9% increase). What helped greatly this past month is that the number of homes sold improved by 30%, from 19 in May to 25 in June. The result of these two dynamics in the market is that our overall "months of supply" of homes fell from 14.9 to 12.4. Keep in mind, however, that this means that we still have enough homes on the market right now to satisfy demand for a full year.

Now, let's look at Saline condos.

Finally, some "sold" condos in the Saline market! There were two condos sold in Pittsfield Township which are in the Saline school district. These are the first condos sold since January, and as a result, the total number of condos available for sale in the Saline school district fell from 46 in May to 44 in June. At that pace, however, it will take nearly TWO YEARS to sell all of the condos available for sale in Saline.
