The Saline District Library

Do you like to read?

What a treasure we have in the Saline District Library!

Saline District Library

As you have read here, here, and here, I read a lot.  Most of the books I've read over the past year were borrowed from the Saline District Library.  How did this happen?

I got a library card.

Saline District Library

All property owners and residents of the Saline Area School District are eligible for a free library card (Talk about a bargain!).  Minors under the age of 18 require the signature of a parent or legal guardian.  The library offers both a Teen room:

And a whole wing devoted to children:

The Library's Mission:

The Saline District Library was created by, and belongs to, the people it serves.  The Library exists to advance intellectual curiosity, promote lifelong learning, and enrich environments in which minds can grow.  It supports an active, informed community by providing all people with access to materials in various formats representing diverse points of view.

You can even look for a book from the comfort of your home!  When the book is available, you go to the library and pick it right up.  Is that convenient?  I've done this a number of times - for example, while reading a biography, I may become curious about another character in the biography.  Using the online search, I can find out if the library has a biography of the other interesting character.

It is said that those who choose not to read are no better than those who cannot read.

You can change your life by reading one book a month.  Why not give it a try at the Saline District Library?
