Want to sell your Saline home?

Do you want to sell your Saline home?  (Original article by Vance Shutes).  Let’s consider that question today.

Saline Ridge in York Township

Want to sell your Saline home?

When was the last time someone looked at your Saline home for sale?  Have you had a lot of showings, but no offers?  Have you had an offer, but were unable to pull it together?

What should you do now, if you want to sell your Saline home?

Like the website YAHOO, You Always Have Other Options.

  • You can change your price.
  • You can make your house more available to show.
  • You can change (improve) the condition of your home.
  • You can change your agent.
  • You can decide to not sell, after all.

Want to sell your Saline home?

Your first option is to change your price.  Most folks resist that, and understandably so.  But when you consider market conditions and the competition for your home, changing the price may be the key to getting your home sold.  Only seven percent of homes for sale actually sold in Saline in the past month (14 homes, out of 202 actively listed), so that means 93% of Saline home sellers failed.  If you want to move from the 93% to the 7%, lowering your price may be key.

Your next option is to make sure that every buyer who wants to see your home has the chance to see it.  Don’t turn down ANY showing.  Be ready to show at a moment’s notice.  A home that is easy to show is easy to sell.

If you’ve had a number of showings, you may be seeing some consistent things mentioned in the showing feedback.   That feedback may point you in the direction of changing the condition of your home.  What changes would you make if you were to buy your home again, right now?  Now may be the time to make those changes, so you can get your home sold.

When was the last time you heard from your agent?  Does your agent call you every week, to let you know what they’ve been doing to market your home over the past week?  Does your agent call you back when you call them?  Does your agent call you after showings?  Are you tired of hearing the same feedback after showings?  If so, maybe it’s time you listened to the advice of your agent!  If you don’t want to listen to your agent’s advice, maybe it’s best if you change your agent.

Finally, you might decide to not sell, after all!  That’s OK.  Maybe you just wanted to sell, but didn’t really need to sell, after all.  That’s OK, too.  But if you really need to sell, then one (or more) of the previous options may be necessary.

Some things to think about, if you really want to sell your Saline home.

Saline is a great place to live, with great access to the freeways to Detroit, Jackson, Brighton, and beyond (via Metro Airport), which is only about a half-hour away.

At Mill Pond Park, you can picnic, fish, take your dog for a run, or sled in the winter.

In Saline, you’ll find Dan’s Downtown Tavern, Mac’s Acadian Grill, Brecon Grille, Mangiamo, and the Saline Inn.

Ann Arbor is only 10-minutes away, where you’ll find the University of Michigan campus, Briarwood mall, Hill Auditorium (for World-class musical performances), and the Ann Arbor Art Fairs in the summer.
